If you're not really a Valentine's Day kind of person, you may enjoy hacking up camp kids in Slayaway Camp.

This 80s horror movie-inspired puzzler pits you, a Jason Voorhees-like character, against a bunch of unsuspecting kids, camp councilors, and police officials. The aim of the game: kill them all. Mua-ha-ha-ha!

Originally released on Steam last year, the isometric slide-puzzler Slayaway Camp follows a similar suit to Red's Kingdom in the sense that you move in one direction until you hit an obstacle. If that obstacle happens to be a blocky human standing alone, well, get ready for the brutal kill shots.

With 10 video tapes containing over 200 gut-wrenching levels, there's plenty to get stuck into, and don't worry we know you're not a psychopath...maybe.

Grab Slayaway Camp on the App Store for £2.99/$2.99 now.

Pixel Starships has the whiff of other games about it. It shares the looks and ideas of Star Command and FTL: Faster Than Light.

Being a starship captain, this is game that is said to have "full starship management." That includes looking after the crew, maintaining life-support, mining planets, exploring outer space, and battling other ships.

But that's not all. Combining bits from Star Command and FTL is enough for a small studio, you may think. But apparently not: Pixel Starships creator SavySoda is dropping all of this into an online universe.

So, yes, you'll be able to bump into other players and give them a jolly good beating.

It discusses their plans for the game's one-anniversary and other updates coming to the game in August.

Throughout August players can expect to see the first Egg-related event that will focus on Bug-Type Pokemon. During this period, players will be able to get eggs that will hatch into Scyther and Pinsir, with a chance they can be Shiny. Additionally, if players use a Bug-type Sync Pair during the event it will increase their chances of getting an Egg.

There will also be a Seasonal Sync Pair added to the game soon. This will see Steven team up with an Alolan Sandlash. Sasaki and Iguchi also confirmed there would be another Seasonal Sync Pair added to the game though they didn't reveal who it would be just yet.

In late July, there will also be an update that introduces a feature called Type Skills. This will activate when you form a team of two or more Sync Pairs of the same type and will increase the strength of your team. Other similar buffs are set to be introduced that are based on conditions other than type in the future.

The one-year celebrations will begin in August where players will be able to take part in a Legendary Event against Palkia. Another feature to arrive in late August will be the Champion Stadium where you'll battle against Elite Four members and Champions from various regions. Emerging victorious will apparently give players a new way to strengthen their Sync Pairs.

Finally, the last update in July is set to introduce the new Training Area to the game that has been mentioned previously. It will also see a trial launch of the stamina system where player feedback will be closely monitored.

Pokemon Masters is available now over on the App Store and Google Play.
Unmemory is a mystery game that immerses you in its story through a mixture of narrative, interactivity, and game mechanics, and it’s out now on iOS and Android.

In it, you need to read text to overcome challenging puzzles and move forward in its thriller story where image, sound and mechanics are woven into the narrative. Basically, how well you can read and pick up details in a story will ultimately help you solve this mystery.

Unmemory is a thriller story set in the ‘90s about a man tracking down his girlfriend’s murderer. The twist being that he has a rare, untreatable form of memory loss which makes tracking down the assailant a lot trickier than originally thought. Using notes, pictures and recorded messages, you will help the protagonist find the man and discover the uncomfortable truths surrounding his circumstance.

It sounds a lot like Christopher Nolan’s thriller Memento when you put it like that. Each chapter details a different memory trigger that helps the protagonist to recall details about the murder, with each one focusing on a different sense such as music, touch or smell. With approximately six hours of gameplay, there’s enough here to present an intriguing mystery and non-repetitive puzzles.

With its heavy nostalgic ‘90s vibes, Unmemory is the creation of Spanish developer Patrones y Escondites. “Our vision is to create artistically unique projects that have a story to tell and broaden the view of what games could be,” a statement from the studio said. “We aim to deliver a remarkable and deeply satisfying user experience by blending gameplay, narration and outstanding aesthetics.”

Alongside its release on Steam, you can download Unmemory from the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android.
We've got a list here of more iOS puzzle games to check out if that's what you're interested in.
